The Mason Family Circus

I'm reading another really interesting book on military family life called Military Brats. Despite the title, it doesn't talk just about military children, but about the dynamics of a military family. It is really fascinating. I've often wondered what the legacy of our lifestyle would be for our children and this book provides some insight.

Just wanted to give an update to those of you following our assignment drama even though there really isn't anything to report other than we still have no assigment for many, many, many reasons. At this point, it is looking pretty unlikely that we will be out of here by June 8th as expected although I'm not ready to give up on it yet!

We are still hoping to make a trip stateside by the end of June, but we don't know how long we will be delayed here.

Since living in Utah, I've had a somewhat unnatural interest in mormon-abilia. Well, at least, I'm interested in the mormon culture. It is quite unique and interesting sociologically because it is so new and exists so completely within the larger culture of the US.
