Miltary Brats: Legacies of Childhood Inside the Fortress (Mary Edwards Wertsch)
I'm reading another really interesting book on military family life called Military Brats. Despite the title, it doesn't talk just about military children, but about the dynamics of a military family. It is really fascinating. I've often wondered what the legacy of our lifestyle would be for our children and this book provides some insight.
It would be a good read for people in military families and for those who have to support them. While I think some of the information is a little outdated to some extent, it does echo some important features of the culture of military families.
Note: The first edition of the book was in the 90s and was recently (2006) revised. I would definitely get the most recent version to get the best point of view.
