Trick or treating is now complete and the kids brought home a MAJOR haul this year. Not too many kids out, but they scored well because of it. Here's a couple of pics of them in their costumes:
Emma as "Cat":
Fall in the Blue Ridge MountainsAfter a windy, oddly hot, day yesterday, we took advantage of the cooler weather and bright blue skies to made a long overdue trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Taxi!It was a beautiful day to be outdoors today, so we headed out to a local farm to have a hayride and visit the pumpkin patch. They had a farm market and a haybale maze as well, so it turned out to be even better than expected. Best of all, it was free. (Except for the pumpkins we bought....three good sized pumpkins and 8 ears of corn for $12. Not bad!)
Here's a link to some photos.
Happy Fall!
Party hat? Check.Today marked the end of a weekend long celebration of Emma's third birthday.
On Friday, she made a crown, had cupcakes, and led the birthday parade at preschool. On Saturday, she had the whole family over for a party. And, today (her actual birthday), she took us all to Chuck E. Cheese.
